Despite the neighborhood committee's willingness to allow Sam, a South Korean boy, to participate in a centuries-old local folkloric event instead of newcomer Gerry, he experiences loneliness for the first time when an unknown neighbor mistakenly identifies him as the newcomer instead of Gerry.
